But why do we need to know all of these? Why study the Bible at all?

We know that there is a God thanks to the Bible. In the book of Genesis, it is revealed to us that there is an ultimate being that created us in His own image. He has made us so special that the first man, Adam, was given the authority to name and take care of all the other creatures. The Bible also teaches us the different traits of God. It tells us that we have a generous and loving God and He desires to have a personal relationship with us. Why study the Bible just to know all these? We study the Bible to know how special we are in the eyes of God and for us to understand his purpose for our lives.

The Bible is considered to be a manual on how we should live our life. We will find a lot of stories, illustrations, as well as anecdotes in it and for the most part, they teach us the correct values and characteristics of a true Christian. It gives us examples and shows us how to act in accordance to God’s will. If ever we are in doubt, we refer to the scriptures on what to do because we believe that this book holds all the answers to life.

Why study the Bible? Because it is God’s Word and it is his way of communicating with us.
